How to improve the load-bearing capacity of planetary gearboxes? In modern planetary transmission, the most important link is the transmission of gears. In order to meet the performance under heavy load conditions and improve the load-bearing capacity of planetary reducers, the following methods are proposed based on actual production:
1、 Increase the contact stress of the gear ring
The strength verification of planetary reducers usually involves verifying the transmission contact stress between the sun gear and the planetary gear, the bending stress of the sun gear planetary gear, and the contact stress between the planetary gear and the internal gear transmission. The contact stress of the gear ring is usually the first to fail, so in order to increase the load-bearing capacity, the first step is to ensure the contact stress of the gear ring.
2、 Gear modification
Tooth profile trimming, root trimming, and tooth end trimming are good methods to improve the transmission performance of heavy-duty gears, because for heavy-duty gears, tooth end trimming can generally prevent tooth end overload caused by tooth alignment errors.
3、 Adjustment of displacement coefficient
Choosing the correct displacement coefficient can increase the gear's load-bearing capacity by 20 to 30%.
4、 Control gear accuracy and error
The strength of the tooth surface is not only related to the accuracy level of the gear, but also to the absolute value of the pitch error. If the pitch error of the gear is large, the rolling pressure applied to the teeth is also large.
5、 To choose the right material for gears
6、 Root reinforcement
The bending strength of gears is closely related to the surface condition of the tooth root, especially for carburized and quenched gears where there are defects such as decarburization layers on the surface of the tooth root, making it difficult to ensure residual pressure and reducing the bending fatigue strength of the tooth root. Therefore, tooth root strengthening measures are taken to improve the fatigue strength.
7、 Increase tooth width
When the outer diameter of the planetary gearbox transmission remains unchanged, increasing the width of the internal gears appropriately can effectively increase the load-bearing capacity of the gears.
8、 Increase gear module and increase tooth profile angle
The outer diameter size of the planetary gearbox remains unchanged, and the load-bearing capacity needs to be increased. It is possible to increase the gear module reasonably and reduce the number of gear teeth to meet the requirements.
